The Shard (in London) has been called a vertical city because every thing you could want is contained within its walls: restaurant, bar, hotel, swimming pool, gym, offices and observation floors.
The Shangri-La hotel is on levels 34 to 52 of the Shard. Level 52 is also where you can find the Infinity Pool.
The views from any room are spectacular.
All the rooms come with views over the Thames, huge king-size double bed, switches to lower the blinds.
The bathroom was very posh, large mirror with embedded Sky TV, twin sinks (him & her), heated toilet seat with bidet, shower and bath.
It's a great place if you just want to hang with your friends and admire the spectacular views over London, especially at night.
What the hell laid those ? some kind of giant metallic Pterodactyl ??
The amazing views over London are best enjoyed with the finest wine or Champagne at the Gong bar on level 52.
Staying in the Shangri-La is quite expensive. Typically, prices start from £600 per night but if you book via Trivargo you might get that down to £530.
The drinks and food are also quite expensive. When you add it all up you can expect to pay nearly £1,000 per night.
